He begins at Chungking Mansions, trying to stay in one of the cheap “shoebox” hotels, but check-in is confusing, so he kills time by getting a shave from a Canadian barber inside the building, wandering through back alleys, eating mystery meat, and talking with a local woman at a small food spot. He eventually checks in, but instead of the Canada Hotel he booked, he gets moved to another tiny room in Mirador Mansion.

Then he meets his expat friend Sam from Hong Kong Hoods, who takes him around Quarry Bay and the famous Monster Building, using it as a way to talk about Hong Kong’s density, urban decay, gentrification, and how places like that have become Instagram backdrops. They continue to Sham Shui Po, walking through markets, bamboo scaffolding, street stalls, Pakistani-run shops, and a gem shop where the owner gifts Seal a dragon ring. They also visit a tiny hidden record shop run by an eccentric older man named Paul, whose whole shop is packed with vinyl records.

The video ends with Seal and Sam drinking beers in the street, meeting people, waiting for a popular seafood spot, and eating messy Hong Kong street seafood with fried garlic, crab/shellfish, potatoes, and more drinks. Seal decides to wrap the video before the night gets too chaotic, ending the whole thing as a grimy-but-fun look at Hong Kong’s dense housing, immigrant pockets, street food, nightlife, and oddball characters.
