Ouaga 2000 is a modern district in southern Ouagadougou, developed as a planned extension of Burkina Faso’s capital. The area is known for its wide roads, embassies, government buildings, hotels, and the Kosyam presidential palace. Compared with the older center of Ouagadougou, Ouaga 2000 has a more spacious, official, and upscale feel shaped by modern development and national institutions.
